impressions is composed from twelve cyanotyped photographs of synthetic and natural microfibers found in water samples along the Texas coastline. The piece exists in conversation with Anna Atkins’s Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions, reapproaching the act of documenting within the context of today’s coastal inhabitants and technology.
