birdworld was made from multiple site visits to a recreational soccer field.
While the projected spectrogram depicts the sound activity of a bird swarm, the installed sound piece is a birdless field recording taken on a different encounter. Lining the walls of the space are sound buttons carrying human imitations of common bird calls.
When a green space isn’t in use by our species, there should be no expectations for how it’s used by another.
